Terms of Service for Pipe Band Hub

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pipe Band Hub mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pipe Band Hub provides a platform for pipe band members to:

• Manage band schedules and events
• Share announcements and information
• Track member availability
• Coordinate band activities

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
• One person may not maintain more than one account

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• We are not liable for any loss or damage from unauthorized account access

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or offensive content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our permission
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Spam other users or bands
• Impersonate another person or entity

5. Content

5.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of content you post (announcements, events, profile info)
• You grant us a license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service
• You are responsible for the content you post
• You represent that you have the right to post any content you upload

5.2 Content Removal

• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms

6. Band Administration

6.1 Band Owners and Admins

• Band creators become the band owner
• Owners and admins can invite members, create events, and manage band settings
• Owners and admins are responsible for their band's content and member conduct

6.2 Band Membership

• Users must be invited to join a band
• Band admins may remove members at any time
• Members may leave a band at any time

7. Subscription and Payments

7.1 Free Tier

• Users may create one free band with up to 5 members
• Free tier limitations may change with notice

7.2 Paid Subscriptions (Future)

• Paid subscription tiers may be introduced in the future
• Pricing and features will be clearly communicated
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Refunds are subject to App Store policies

8. Intellectual Property

• The App and its content (excluding user content) are owned by Pipe Band Hub
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission
• Our trademarks and logos may not be used without permission

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 "AS IS" Service

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

10.2 No Liability for User Content

• We are not responsible for user-generated content
• We do not endorse any opinions expressed by users
• Users are solely responsible for their content

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us (if any)
• We are not liable for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

12. Termination

12.1 By You

• You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
• Deleting your account will permanently remove your data

12.2 By Us

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms
• We may terminate the service entirely with reasonable notice

13. Changes to Terms

• We may modify these Terms at any time
• We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance

14. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom
• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pipe Band Hub regarding use of the App.
